As a part of the partnership between the Algerian American Association of Northern California and FOREM, AAA-NC delivered 25 Accu-chek
blood glucose meter kit to FOREM ( Fondation nationale pour la promotion de la santé et le développement de la recherche medicale)
for children with diabetes in Algeria.
5 glucometers has been donated to children in the area of Baraki (Algiers) that are monitored
by the FOREM psychology care center at Bentalha (Algiers). The rest of the kits have been donated to patients in need at Adrar (South
Algeria) according to a list from the local healthcare department in the presence of Mr. Makki executive director with FOREM.
This
action has been greatly appreciated by all people in both area as well as the local supervisors. This will contribute to ensure the
relationship between Algerians and to support the poor.
